Who knew my RODE mics weren't waterproof?

This should probably be filed under the “captain obvious” department, but it turns out my RODE GO II mics are not waterproof (or maybe the dryer did them in). I love these little mics for recording my cybersecurity podcast, but it turns out they aren’t safe from the threat of water and/or heat.

I’d love to record future music gigs live, and I’m tempted to grab another set of RODEs, but do you recommend something else? Let me know in the comments!
